This looks like an excellent event and one we’d certainly recommend, not least because enough time would have passed to see the effect of the Trump Presidency and Cyber Security. This cyber conference, taking place in London, UK, is the 11th annual Cyber Defence and Network Security (CDANS) event that will take place in London Bridge on 25th and 26th January 2017.
Benefits of attending this cyber event in London include: understanding how the Bundeswehr will be launching their new 13,500 strong Cyber and Information branch in 2017; briefings from the UK MoD on the new Defence Cyber Aptitude Test (DCAT) and how the use of the ‘Cyber Reserve’ will help close the cyber skills gap; sessions from the Royal Navy and the FBI and how they are currently improving their cyber threat awareness. Furthermore, delegates will benefit from understanding how international cooperation can be promoted using the European Defence Agency’s Cyber Defence Policy Framework as an example. Also – representatives from the CIA will explain how they are enhancing techniques on protecting sensitive information, particularly with emphasis on private data entered into the cloud.
Key speakers include: Major General Jim Hockenhull, DCI3, UK MoD, Don Davidson, Deputy Director, CS Implementation & Acquisition Integration Chief, CS Lifecycle Risk Management, DoD CIO’s Office, Sherrill Nicely, CISO, CIA, Deborah Petterson, Head of Energy Cyber Security, Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and Sven Sakkov, Director, NATO CCD COE. Tickets range from £599 to £2,499.
