InfoSec Conference Summary
The description was submitted by the Conference Organizer. We sometimes edit it to enhance the listing.
This will be the 3rd year for SecureWV, but it is the 8th year for Hack3rCon (Yea, Hack3rCon!!) which the organizers have labelled as The ‘Ocho’. This event is the result of the merger (we think!) between Secure WV and Hack3rCon. For more information on the origin of Hack3rCon please follow this link.
The organizers will be keeping the format the same as last year with SecureWV on Friday and Hack3rCon on Saturday and Sunday. One ticket will include both conferences so attendees can still enjoy everything that the conference has to offer. SecureWV will still focus on general IT-related topics and Hack3rCon will continue to get into the more technical side of Information Security. The entire weekend will be a fun and enjoyable time, so plan now for Hack3rCon8 and SecureWV3.
We love these unique types of ‘grass-roots’ Hacker Conferences where you will meet some awesome people.
Last year the organizers had class tracks for ‘intro to linux’, ‘bash scripting’, intro to kali linux, python scripting, digital forensics, network, mobile security – as well as some great talks by Adrian Crenshaw from irongeek.com on lock picking.
