The Welsh Government, with support from the Department of International Trade at the British Embassy to Belgium, is hosting a Cyber Security event with a difference!
Sir Julian King, European Commissioner for the Security Union will express his views on the security challenges and opportunities in Europe. From NATO Communications and Information Agency a representative will expand on their upcoming cyber projects. There will also be briefings from Mr Joe De Muynck – Director of the Belgian Federal Cyber Emergency Team; Mr Luigi Rebuffi, Secretary General of the European Cyber Security Organisation; Mr Fabian Vandenreydt – Executive Chairman of B-Hive, the Belgian European tech platform; Mr Ulrich Seldeslachts – CEO of LSEC, the Belgian Cyber Security Cluster; and Mr John Davies, Chair of Cyber Wales, will introduce the Welsh Cyber Eco-Systems.
For the first time in Brussels there will be an opportunity to learn about the unique Cyber Security Eco-system and expertise that has developed in Wales as we hear directly from Welsh companies and world class Research Centres.
Wales is the largest cyber security hub in the UK home to over 3,000 home-grown and multinational tech companies, including some of the big names such as Airbus, BT, Thales, Qinetiq and General Dynamics.
