November 13, 2018 - November 13, 2018
Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Conference Description (submitted by organizer)
The demand for cyber-resilience is changing the Scottish landscape. Data breaches and losses have hit three Scottish councils, and Edinburgh is in the top four UK regions when it comes to volume of cyber-attacks over the last 5 years. Last year, 11 of Scotland’s 14 health territorial boards were taken down by the global WannaCry malware, and in November, the nation’s largest bank, RBS, announced that the data of over 1.5 million of their cardholders were put at risk following a hack.
Now, both public and private sector are calling for action. Senior figures from both government and Scotland’s largest organisations have spoken out on the need for greater collaboration and higher cybersecurity standards. The Scottish Digital Office has appointed its first Chief Information Security Officer to help local authorities protect themselves against cyber-attacks, and the financial sector has announced its mission towards “a stable, safe and secure space for organisations to operate but… which allows us to make the most of the opportunities”.
Industry leaders are looking for the right strategies, solutions and partners to evolve their digital operations, while still maintaining a strong resilience infrastructure.
How do you achieve the balance between business efficiency and cybersecurity?
How do CISO’s equip themselves with the right information and resources to prepare for the cyber-revolution?
The inaugural e-Crime Congress Scotland will cover these and other key subjects for our audience of senior IT Security professionals. For over 16 years we have been building relationships with the most experienced business leaders and inviting them to share insights on how they have mitigated cyber-risk, gained board level engagement, and protected their digital assets and sensitive data. There will be real-life case studies, strategic talks and technical break-out sessions from security teams behind some of the world’s most admired brands, who know, just like you, that now is a critical time to strengthen your security infrastructure and the most effective way to do it.
