ATENA (Advanced Tools to assess and mitigate the criticality of ICT compoNents and their dependencies over Critical Infrastructures)aims to produce a set of tools that, implementing innovative models, methodologies and algorithms for security assurance, as well as interacting with the available smart components of a critical infrastructure, will increase the level of cyber-physical security and resilience of underpinning critical infrastructure & integrated administration and control system. The results will be proved as a quantifiable benefit for the involved end users that operate a critical infrastructure in terms of, reduction of service unavailability time, and decrease in security recovery costs.

ATENA (www..atena-h2020.eu/) is funded by the European Commission under the umbrella of the Digital Security Focus Area of the current Horizon 2020 European Union Research and Innovation programme and it is coordinated by Leonardo, a global high-tech company headquartered in Italy. Horizon 2020 is the most important European Union Research and Innovation program devoted to support research and innovation with nearly €80 billion of funding available over the period 2014 to 2020.
