Security BSides Minneapolis understands that the success of security is cross-disciplinary and relies on skills and knowledge from multiple domains of knowledge. BSides MSP is composed of a local group with nationwide contacts in all areas of information security and skill levels from entry level to Vice Presidents and CEOs of major Security firms.
Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. The goal of this event is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It will create opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.
The organizers are looking for a mix of papers, workshops, and presentations. They want to have something for everyone, so we will be looking at and considering everything from 101 level introductory material for those entering the field, up to cutting edge deeply technical topics. Workshops will be on the 26th, with papers and presentations on the 27th and 28th.
If you live and work in Minneapolis then we’d certainly encourage you to visit this event. Many BSides events are free.
