Conference Description (submitted by organizer)
Welcome to the Cyber London Conference 2019. We welcome cyber security and ICT professionals from across the public and private sectors to hear about and discuss the latest developments, strategies and technologies available to successfully defend organizations online. We hope that you will leave the conference with a deeper understanding of how to keep pace with the scale, complexity and ever-changing threat we face.
We are now just over 12 months on from the introduction the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive. How are these affecting your organisation? Is it already possible to learn from the last few months and identify what works and what doesn’t?
Much has been said and written about the looming skills gap in cyber security. Is this likely to become even more pressing as cyber defence comes to rely more on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning thus requiring more skilled cyber security professionals? Or might these technologies mitigate against the worst effects of the shortage? Can systems be made more resilient to the accidental or malicious actions of people inside our organizations?
We have assembled a stimulating programme for the conference. We have an outstanding range of speakers drawn from public and private sectors, national agencies and major vendors and I look forward to a very interesting programme.
