This conference aims to provide a forum for researchers from both academic and industry fields to share their latest research contributions and exchange knowledge with the common goal of shaping the future of IoT and smart sustainable cities. Contributed papers are solicited describing original works in these fields and related technologies.

The 2017 and 2018 GCIoT was held last two years at Bibliotheca Alexandrina and welcomed more than 850 attendees, Tens of keynote speeches and discussion panels with plenty of international speakers, attendees, and moderators, establishing the conference as a success and the regions foremost forum for IoT innovation. 2017 and 2018 GCIoT conference have consisted of keynote speeches, discussion panels, and technical sessions.

IEEE GCIoT will continue the success of its predecessor and this year program will include paper presentations, poster sessions and project demonstrations, along with prominent keynote speakers and industrial and government l-focused workshops. There will be three tracks in the conference: technical track, governmental track, and industrial track. The industrial track will include a one-day focused Industry summit. 2019 IEEE GCIoT is sponsored by the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS), IEEE Communication Society IoT committee, IEEE R8, IEEE UAE Section, Dubai University, Zayed University, 5G world Alliance, IPV6, Bog Al Arab Innovation cluster and National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).
