In the historically male-oriented security field, many women are successfully advancing to leadership roles.
Frost & Sullivan’s “Women in Security” study reveals that women represent only 10 percent of the security workforce. Women have some attributes that are clearly stronger than men in certain areas, and have much to offer in security leadership positions.
What are the challenges and barriers that women face with a career in security, how are they mentoring male and female executives, and what can be done at the college and K-12 levels to garner interest and a career in the security industry?
What additional advice do these female executives offer for men and women who seek to have a career in the security industry?
CSO is putting brilliant women on the podium to share their expertise and stories and to unpack some of the biggest questions facing us in cyber security today.
In September 2019, the industry will meet to celebrate the women of cybersecurity, along with delivering a series of Awards that recognise and honour the accomplishments, value and contributions of women within the wider world of security.
