Texas, United States, leads the way with regards to the Oil & Gas space – especially with regards to SCADA/ICS and everything therein associated with Cybersecurity. We wish the organizers the best of luck and hope that by the time this event is fully up and running the pesky Coronavirus nightmare is firmly behind us and we can start learning from the experts sharing their knowledge at events like this! Good luck!

The 6th Annual IoT in Oil & Gas Conference – considered as one of the world’s biggest focused IoT in Oil & Gas event – will return to the Hilton Americas on September 28 – 29, 2020, and will gather the ever-increasing community of stakeholders from EPCs, operators, drilling companies and technology solution providers to resume the discussion; to debate the crucial challenges, the issues and emerging trends shaping the digital transformation of oil & gas today and towards the future.
Last years’ event (2019) attracted more than 600 attendees, 80+ speakers, and 70+ sponsors to the Hilton Americas and once again staged the ideal platform for organizations like Chevron, Shell, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, BP and other global players to talk about how they’re leveraging smart technologies to respond to, and navigate volatile oil prices and constantly rising bottom-line pressures.
Over the past few years there has been a lot of focus on IoT, Machine Learning & AI in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in terms of how they’re changing the very way the entire industry operates. The Oil & Gas industry is making headway in realizing the potential of IoT by making things much easier for companies to carry out their daily operations.
Leading operators continue to look for strategies to maximize efficiencies and multiply the bottom line in an increasingly competitive environment. It is no longer enough to just focus on short-term cost-cutting exercises; there is a collective recognition that investing in emerging technologies will guarantee companies reduce operating costs, minimize unnecessary expenditure and significantly reduce operating costs.
IoT solutions in Oil & Gas are making headway; increasingly recognized as not limited to plant and rig operations but rather applicable to the full scope of operations. IoT is shaping the way the Oil & Gas industry operates, and in doing so is heralding a new age of profitability and efficiency to the industry.
