 Our Review

By far the coolest and most interesting Hacker Conference taking place in Denmark. If you are interested in attending a Hacking Conference (Cybersecurity); that’s really more of a “camp” (similar to ToorCon or CCC camps) then this event might be of significant interest.

Langt den fedeste og mest interessante Hacker-konference, der finder sted i Danmark.

Conference Event Summary

The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Monday, August 31st 2020, or created by us.

As announced on June 1st, BornHack 2020 will be slightly different from the previous years due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the world.

There will have an increased focus on workshops, debates, and presentations directly related to improving the BornHack hacker festival itself. For example, the submissions could be a workshop on extending the website with new features, building information announcement systems, enhancing the streaming system, or construction workshops on bar enhancements. We are open to ideas here.

BornHack is a 7-day outdoor tent camping festival for hackers, makers, and anyone interested in technology and society, and how the two interact. BornHack 2020 will take place from the 11th to the 18th of August 2020 on the island of Funen in Denmark. This will be the fifth time BornHack takes place, and the second time it takes place on the island of Funen.

Organizers are looking for talented, humorous, inspiring, and/or provocative speakers to host talks, lightning talks, and workshops at BornHack. First-time speakers are welcomed.

The event is very open to different topics. Expect that the majority of the presentations at BornHack will be on security, networking, programming, distributed systems, privacy, community, and how technologies relate to society. If you are unsure whether your topic is of relevance to the event please get in contact with the content team.
