This event has been tagged as follows:
This is one of the largest and as far as we can tell, longest-running BSides event in the United States. Owing to the hegemony of California (especially San Francisco) as the tech-center of the world, then you can appreciate why this particular BSides event will be pretty awesome. BSides are famous for two things (in my opinion): personal networking with fellow-peers in the industry (in the same city and state of course) and also the fact that you’ll learn a ton from like-minded professionals.
The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Monday, February 17th 2020, or created by us.
BSides San Francisco is a non-profit organization created to advance the body of Information Security knowledge by providing a two-day, annual, open forum for debate and discussion for security engineers and their affiliates. The organizers produced a conference that is a source of collaboration, education, and continued conversation for information technologists and those associated with this field.
The academic and technical presentations at BSides San Francisco are given in the spirit of peer review and advanced knowledge dissemination. This enables the field of Information Security to grow in depth and breadth and continue in its pursuit of highly advanced, scientifically based knowledge.
BSidesSF is a 100% volunteer-organized conference, put on for and by the community, and the people behind this event truly strive to keep information easily accessible.
