 Our Review

This is not a conference but we still included this event because this is where you can start your career in cybersecurity. You’ll still learn a lot by joining this meeting. Cool thing is that they welcome occasional company pitches, to sell or recruit by just buying a round of drinks which is not allowed in a lot of conferences. DC4420 Meetings are part of the DEF CON global franchise. It’s similar to BSides events. If you’re into the whole Hacker Scene in London then these events, of which there are many, are absolutely “must-attend” events for networking and learning cutting edge security practices which from our experience is mostly offensive in nature.

Conference Event Summary

The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Friday, November 29th 2019, or created by us.

DC4420 meetings are normally the last Tuesday of the month, except for the month of December.

New attendees are always welcome, there will be no entry fees and bookings.

Below are some rules that need to be followed.
Only 18 and above are allowed to attend.
Please be respectful to our speakers, other attendees, and the venue staff.

The event talks are composed of two formats: a primary 45 minutes (ish), and a secondary 30 minutes (ish). Talks and discussions will start at 19:30

Speakers Wanted

The event programme typically has a technical talk (~1 hr) and lighter talk (~30 min). Once or twice a year, they organize a “Lightning Talk” format, with shorter talks up to ~15 minutes, with anyone who wants to speak on the night.

The qualifications for speakers are simple, have a subject of interest to fellow technical & InfoSec people. The subject can be on security or technical issues or social interaction with technology, based on the most recent events, or just something that is entertaining to other participants. As a speaker, you can be a student, expert, or someone learning a new area, maybe a regular speaker on the conference circuit, but we also love to have new & occasional speakers.
