EastCon Kampala is an event made for cybersecurity players, government representatives, civil society, business executives, academia and the private sector from across East Africa. The event will be held on April 23 – 24, 2020 at the Méstil Hotel & Residences at Kampala, Uganda.
The two-day cybersecurity event will be held under the theme of “CYBERSECURITY FOR THE FUTURE; THE FUTURE IS NOW”
For more than a decade, cybercrime has been on an exponential rise with countless businesses of all magnitudes registering heavy losses due to cyber-attacks.
According to the Cybersecurity report published by Serianu, East Africa jointly lost an estimated US$467m to cybercrime in the year 2018, that’s a significant increase from 2017’s US$374m. Uganda is estimated to have lost US$52m rising from 2017’s $35m according to the same report.
Join together with over 200 attendees to hear from experts who will share their knowledge on how to prevent or defend your organization from cyber-attacks.
