 Our Review

This is one of the few InfoSec Events that we have listed in 2020 in Hungary and this looks like it is certainly one of the best ones taking place this year. Our understanding is that this event is a typical Hacker Conference, which we love here at InfoSec Conferences.

Ez egyike azon kevés InfoSec eseménynek, amelyet 2020-ban felsoroltunk Magyarországon, és ez úgy tűnik, hogy minden bizonnyal az egyik legjobb az idei évben.

Conference Event Summary

The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Monday, March 2nd 2020, or created by us.

Hacktivity started in 2003 when a group of security professionals was looking for a forum to network and exchange experience. Since then, the number of attendees has doubled at one of the considered, oldest independent Hungarian events.

Since 2010 Hacktivity has become a fully international event with all programmes held bilingually. In 2010 1,000, in 2011 and 2012 1,200, in 2013 1300 attendees including official and alternative information security experts, teachers, and students from colleges and universities offering IT degrees, professional organizations from the countries of three continents (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Poland, France, Portugal, Serbia, Germany, Korea, USA, India, Hungary) participates in the two-day event. The conference received never-before-seen media coverage with television crews ranging from the state television of the People’s Republic of China through French television channel AFP to Al-Jazeera and almost a dozen other channels shooting at the conference location.

At the 2,000 sqm conference venue live demo presentations are held in 3 sections along with Hello workshops, exhibitions, book presentations and games to make the program diverse. The professional day is completely free of marketing content. Candidates must apply to be among the speakers selected by the program committee on the basis of experience, professionalism, and leading knowledge. The sponsors (whose number is continually on the rise) are present at the event in a unique way through stands, games and special entertainment programs.
