This will be the 13th year of this conference that started as a small contest but has now grown to be one of the largest in Switzerland. Cool thing is that even though their conference is known or focused on the technical aspects of cybersecurity, they still discuss general topics like privacy and compliances which will benefit other professionals. By the way, if you happen to know other cybersecurity events happening in this country, please let us know and we’ll be happy to add them to our directory.

The conference started as a very small contest in 2008 that has grown to be one of the largest in Switzerland with more than 2,000 participants and considered as a must-attend event for Swiss information security experts.
In March 2020, the 13th edition of Insomni’hack will take place at Geneva Palexpo, the week after the famous Geneva motor-show.
The event will feature cybersecurity professionals from Switzerland and around the world.
Anyone with an interest in cybersecurity is invited to attend including CEOs, CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, Head of IT and related staff from local large and medium-sized companies and organizations (Banks, luxury, manufacturing, public administrations, NGOs), European Ethical Hackers, Security enthusiasts, researchers, and developers.
While Insomni’Hack is known for the technical content of some of its talk, the event guarantees that speakers will cover more general topics regarding regulations, privacy, compliances and more.
The conference will take place in 3 dedicated rooms with capacities of more than 400 seats. A slot is usually set for 50 minutes and there are 10-minute breaks between talks to allow participants to change rooms and visit the sponsors’ area. There are also two 30 minutes of coffee breaks which provide the chance to have a refreshment, mingle, and visit the sponsor stands. A 2-hour lunch break provides a seated warm meal and takes place in the middle of the sponsor area.
The Boss of the SOC, a defense-focused Capture the Flag competition played by teams, will take place for the second year running from 6 pm onwards. An ethical hacking contest consisting of security challenges will also take place in the evening. These are open to everyone from beginners to experts.
