Update: Unfortunately LeHack has been cancelled and has been pushed to next year, LeHack 2021. (This review was written prior the event being cancelled).Absolutely mega French Cybersecurity Conference and one that is highly recommended. In fact, we’ve covered this event many times before, the name of this InfoSec event used to Nuit du Hack. Along with “Hack In Paris” I’d say that LeHack is a must-attend for all French Cybersecurity Professionals. This event is clearly one of the better hacker events for French security pro’s.
Conference Event Summary
The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Monday, July 6th 2020, or created by us.
Update: Unfortunately LeHack has been cancelled and has been pushed to next year, LeHack 2021.
Started in 2003 by a group of people, who got together under the name of Hackerz Voice and inspired by the famous and biggest US hacking event named “DEFCON”. “La leHACK” is considered as one of the oldest French underground hackers’ events which gathers amateurs and professionals of any skill level, around lectures and challenges. Regardless of their skill, participants come to see and talk about the most recent advances in IT Security to assess and/or improve their level.
To improve the quality and accessibility of this event, the 2010 edition hosted many English-speaking conferences and workshops.
Started by 20 people, the conference never stopped growing up by gathering more and more people from amateurs to professionals. In 2011, it saw several internationally renowned speakers and gripped more than 950 guests including more than 50 challengers. During this edition, we had the privilege to host world-famous speakers.
One of the objectives of this event is to educate the general public, giving everyone the means to understand, master the challenges and risks of a modern lifestyle incorporating in its new technologies. While their main purpose is to strive for better understanding and continuous improvement of security systems using new technologies.
