In the sixth annual Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC), top cybersecurity students from across the world will gain real-life experiences that will benefit their eventual work environments.
To give an idea of the level of this competition: during the 2019-2020 academic year, some teams had more than 100 students attend tryouts. During the 2019-2020 International Finals, competitors discovered two zero-days, registered them as CVEs, and designed a patch for the most critical vulnerability. The 2020-21 competition theme is Industrial Control Systems for an energy company.
Top cybersecurity students from across the globe compete in 9 regions; the top 15 teams advance to the international finals.
Infrastructure themes:
2020-2021: Energy
2019-2020: Finance
2018-2019: Transportation
