 Our Review

One of the coolest InfoSec Online Hacking Events being broadcast from Las Vegas (we believe). The organizers are part of the DEF CON experience so you’d be foolish to miss this one especially since it’s a virtual online Hacker Event! Must attend in our opinion. An interesting feature about this event is the insistence that there are no vendor pitches so that certainly makes the content more hackified.

The DEF CON 28 Red Team Offense Village has an amazing lineup of speakers and presentations! The talks range from introductory topics of Red Teaming to very advanced techniques and tactics. Speakers go over how they try to mimic a true adversary. Creating their own tools and exploits to compromise and access sensitive systems and information in any way possible, as quietly as possible.

The event organizers have a lot of exciting things planned, including a dedicated speaker track focused on Red Team/Offense topics. With that said, you are invited to submit a CFP. If you have a talk that is appropriate for the village, please submit ASAP as slots are limited and filling quickly.

If you’re interested in submitting a proposal, please note the following:

  • The DEF CON Red Team Offense Village does not accept product or vendor related pitches.
  • If your briefing is a thinly-veiled advertisement for a new product or service your company is offering, please do not apply. There are plenty of “vendor” conferences that will accept that nonsense, please submit to one of those, don’t waste our time or yours. If your briefing is accepted and you perform a bait and switch, you will be banned for life.
