 Our Review

We’re seeing more and more Women in Cybersecurity events and it’s great to see SANS also hosting these events – not sure if this is the first time they’ve offered an event like this but in any event it’s great to see it happening.

Event Summary

The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Thursday, June 18th 2020, or created by us.

Learn how to bring traditional HR practices in line with the reality of recruiting, hiring, retaining, and promoting top female cybersecurity professionals. Even the most well-intentioned organizations may not realize the gender bias inherent in so many aspects of the hiring process or career milestones like performance reviews. We need a clear plan of action.

We also need allies. We need established leaders in the industry to mentor us, advocate for us, and work on changing attitudes in their organizations at a macro level. How do we find or create allies? How can we be these allies?

Keynote Speaker – Tarah Wheeler
Building Your Career Board Of Directors – How to find senior sponsors for your career, how men are able to help, what good allyship looks like, and how to pass it on to the next generation.
