The existing computing environments and computing models have changed immensely because of the rapid advancements in mobile big data, computing, and cyberspace-based supporting technologies such as Internet-of-Things (IoT), cloud computing, blockchain, and many other large-scale computing environments. For example, IoT is being employed in more and more fields and is making “Everything Smart,” such as smart city, smart home, smart manufacturing, and smart transportation. While researchers continue to tackle privacy and IoT security, many questions still remain. Further, with the growing adoption of IoT devices, people will see a growth in the number of privacy and security issues.
Traditional security techniques are faced with many challenges in these new computing environments. Thus, efforts are needed to explore the privacy and security issues of the above-mentioned new environments within the cyberspace.
