As I write this review for this event the world is gripped by the organic Coronavirus which (I believe) has now been labelled a pandemic. On the other side of the spectrum are digital and binary viruses, and this event can be considered as being one of THE events to attend if Bug Bounties, Anti-Virus, Malware et al are niches that you’re interested with. Taking place in Dublin, Ireland, this InfoSec event is (very likely) the world’s oldest occurring Computer Virus event, likely as old as the Morris Worm if not older! We wish the organizers the best of luck and fingers crossed the organic Virus doesn’t stop the digital Virus event from happening.
The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Tuesday, March 3rd 2020, or created by us.
The Virus Bulletin (VB) Conference is considered as one of the longest-running security conferences in the world. It attracts some of the industry’s brightest minds and provides a friendly environment in which serious research can be outlined and discussed with peers from around the world.
The event also welcomes submissions on all aspects of digital security, from more general to very technical, whether you are an experienced speaker or a first-time presenter, and whether you are based in Dublin or the other side of the world.
VB2020 will be held on September 30 – October 2, 2020, at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road in Dublin, Ireland. If you’re interested, organizers encouraged that you make your reservation at the Clayton Hotel as soon as possible.
