We are big fans of BSides events around the world and goodness knows how much traffic we have sent them over the years, and this event looks as equally as great as all the other BSides conferences. The aim of these events is to broaden the conversation’s scope beyond the conventional boundaries of space and time. It allows people to present and participate in an intimate setting that facilitates collaboration, and it is also a fantastic way to boost your career and find Cybersecurity employment opportunities. It’s a jam-packed event with panel discussions, demonstrations, and participant engagement. It is here where the next big thing is being discussed.
Conference Event Summary
The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Monday, March 29th 2021, or created by us.
BSides Knoxville is normally a small, low-cost, in-person, 350 attendee, 2-3 track conference. Last year, we had our first virtual conference due to the pandemic and drew 1000 attendees! This will be our second and possibly last virtual conference, but we still aim for the same quality of speakers and experience.
There’s no particular theme or focus beyond Cybersecurity. We aim to have something for everyone. Most talks are aimed at a broad audience with 20% aimed at more technical folks and another 20% aimed at beginners.
Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members.
The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both presents and participates in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.
BSides Knoxville will be held virtually on April 28, 2021.
