This virtual cybersecurity summit will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine, on July 8-9, 2021, and will include representatives from the United States and Ukraine as well as many Ukrainian stakeholders. For the first day of discussions, the topics that are likely to be covered include the current research trends in cybersecurity, the present governmental approach to research, and the commercial sector’s perspective. The second day will feature a more practical workshop in proposal development to engage both U.S. and Ukraine principal investigators and team members in meetings, discussions, and presentations to highlight upcoming research and explore project implementation, and will also allow participants to meet and engage in broader conversations with project partners and counterparts about their creative research ideas and possible obstacles.

Virtual Cybersecurity Cooperative Summit is planned for July 8-9 2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and will engage U.S. and Ukrainian experts, key Ukrainian stakeholders, and collaborative research grant competition principal investigators and team members. The first day of discussions will focus on the current trends in cybersecurity research, the governmental approach towards research, and the private industry’s vision. The second day will provide more practical knowledge on proposal development through the proposal development workshop and will bring together U.S. and Ukraine principal investigators and team members to meet, discuss project implementation, present their upcoming research and engage in larger conversations with their counterparts about their innovative research ideas and potential challenges.
Target audience: academia, young and experienced researchers in cybersecurity, university students
Speakers: NSDC, US Department of Defense representative, IBM, Cisco Talos, FireEye, Purdue University, New York University, etc. One of the panels will also be devoted to Women in Cyber and will feature the Executive Director of the Cyber Institute (U.S.) and Experienced ICS/SCADA security professional from A.P. Moller-Maersk.
