Conference Event Summary
The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Friday, December 11th 2020, or created by us.
In the age of automation with billions of connected devices around the world, hardware security plays a major role in enabling trust in the core components and technology of automation.
There is a present need to create a platform for organizations and hardware security researchers to brainstorm on securing and breaking hardware.
With that in mind, somewhere in the mid of 2014, between all the concerns and news surrounding trust and backdoors in hardware equipment, Hardwear was conceptualized to provide the security and IT community with a platform to solve and discuss issues pertaining to hardware security.
Hardwear.io was created to provide the Hardware & Security community with a place to solve and discuss issues pertaining to hardware security. One of the main objectives of the conference revolves around key concerns in firmware, hardware, and related protocols (i.e. backdoors, trust, exploits, and attacks).
