Our Review
By far, one of the coolest Hacker Conferences and events to take place in Geneva and Switzerland. Switzerland has a thriving Cybersecurity Industry; mostly I’m sure due to its reputation on privacy and trust.
De loin, l’une des conférences et événements Hacker les plus cool à avoir lieu à Genève et en Suisse. La Suisse a une industrie de la cybersécurité florissante; surtout, je suis sûr en raison de sa réputation en matière de confidentialité et de confiance.

Conference Event Summary
The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Friday, September 18th 2020, or created by us.
The conference started as a very small contest in 2008 that has grown to be one of the largest in Switzerland with more than 2,000 participants and considered a must-attend event for Swiss information security experts.
In February 2021, the 14th edition of Insomni’hack will take place at Geneva Palexpo.
The event will feature cybersecurity professionals from Switzerland and around the world.
Anyone with an interest in cybersecurity is invited to attend including CEOs, CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, Head of IT, and related staff from local large and medium-sized companies and organizations (Banks, luxury, manufacturing, public administrations, NGOs), European Ethical Hackers, Security enthusiasts, researchers, and developers.
While Insomni’Hack is known for the technical content of some of its talk, the event guarantees that speakers will cover more general topics regarding regulations, privacy, compliances, and more.
As usual, organizers are aiming for a full week’s event with:
- A variety of 2/3-days workshops;
- 2 days of security-related talks, over 3 parallel tracks;
- The largest on-site CTF in Europe;
- Several side-activities and social events.
A “good old” onsite security conference is expected. But, of course, hopes and expectations will be subject to the actual evolution of the pandemic and the measures in effect at that time.
