The National Institute of Cybersecurity ( INCIBE ) collaborates in the realization of these conferences. INCIBE is the national reference entity for the development of cybersecurity and the digital trust of citizens, academic and research networks, professionals, companies, and especially for strategic sectors. It is INCIBE’s mission to support R + D + i to generate knowledge and technology that addresses the needs and challenges posed by cyberthreats and cyberattacks.
JNIC is a scientific congress that promotes contact, exchange, and discussion of ideas, knowledge, and experiences between the academic and research network on the one hand, and professionals and companies on the other. It serves as an escape from the latest scientific advances in the field and materializes a debate forum in which to present innovative perspectives and approaches in cybersecurity, enabling the connection between investigative and innovative action and the development of products and services of value for society.
Researchers and professionals from different parts of the national geography will present the results of their scientific research from different perspectives with a common link: cybersecurity.
As in previous editions, the Conference will focus on three fundamental axes: Research in Cybersecurity, Teaching and Educational Innovation in Cybersecurity and Technology Transfer.
In this edition, revised and extended versions of the best articles may be sent to Special Issues of different international journals indexed in relevant positions of the JCR, increasing the value of contributions to the conference. At the moment, we have already confirmed a special issue in the journal Applied Sciences MDPI (Q2) and another in the electronics journal MDPI (Q2).
The VI edition of these Conferences represent the consolidation of the same, after the illusion awakened in the initial edition, located in León (2015) , the settlement stages lived in Granada (2016) and Madrid (2017) , and the strengthening of the previous editions in San Sebastián (2018) and Caceres (2019). In fact, the realization of the JNIC 2021 LIVE online demonstrates the ability of the conference to reinvent itself and adapt to an online model in the context of the COVID19 pandemic in the spirit of being able to continue to be held as normally as possible.
