The UK continues to strive forward with its efforts to get more folks into cybersecurity ad professionals and events like this are first-class at being able to help reach that goal. The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) is a government organization that provides public and private sector guidance and helps in avoiding risks to computer security. In October 2016, it was established with its head office in London, and its parent is GCHQ. The Center for Cyber Assessment (CCA), the Computer Emergency Response Team UK (CERT UK), and the cyber-related tasks of the Center for the Protection of National Infrastructures have been absorbed and replaced by the CESG(info security arm of the GCHQ) (CPNI). The guidelines on information assuring in the UK’s wider private sector, such as the “10 Steps” directive published in January, were built on prior work of these organizations and the office of the Cabinet. The UK Government said in its pre-launch statements that the NCSC will work initially with the Bank of England to advise financial institutions on how to support online defenses. Highly recommended event for those looking for Cybersecurity jobs in the UK.
