 Our Review

ShellCon is an annual information security conference hosted in the gorgeous coastal towns of Los Angeles. This security conference is a maturing event that fosters open conversation, cooperation, and connection. The folks in charge of the conference place a premium on camaraderie, technical expertise, and getting your hands dirty in the world of Cybersecurity. The focus of the convention’s presentations and events will be on practicality and real-world applications. Highly recommended event and one of the best hacker conferences taking place in California in 2021.

Conference Event Summary

The following description was either submitted by the Conference Organizer on Wednesday, July 14th 2021, or created by us.

ShellCon is an information security conference that is held annually in the beautiful beach cities of Los Angeles. Our conference is a growing event that creates an atmosphere of open communication, collaboration, and connection. The organizers value community, technical knowledge, and getting your hands dirty. Presentations and events at the con will have a focus on practicality and real-world applications. We want you to walk away from ShellCon with an itch to try what you just learned and the knowledge to do so.

ShellCon is a security conference. As such, presentations should focus on topics that are relevant and useful to security practitioners. When selecting talks, special emphasis will be placed on those that teach skills, concepts, tools, or techniques that the audience can put to use immediately. Talks for the main speaker track should focus on topics that teach the audience how to do their job better. RaiseMe talks should help the audience get a job in infosec or advance their career. To put it very simply, the main speaker track is “how to do the job” whereas RaisMe is “how to get the job.”
