As the third all-virtual convention hosted by VetSec, Inc., the goal is to continue to further the vision statement of our company; “A world where no veteran pursuing information security goes unemployed.”
To this end, VetSec, Inc. is proud and excited to announce VetSecCon 2021.
Featuring key speakers from across the information security industry as well as experts in areas like navigating the Veterans Affairs benefits claims and issues facing the human side of information security as well as speakers from our very own membership, VetSecCon 2021 proves to be our most ambitious event yet!
This year, VetSecCon will again feature three tracks.
- The first track is aiming directly at military members readying for their transition. This track will include speakers on job interviews, resume writing, LinkedIn networking, navigating veterans benefits, educational benefits, etc.
- Track two is all InfoSec skills. Featuring speakers from our own membership as well as industry leaders, this track will include entry-level information security discussions as well as highly specialized talks on skills you need in Information Security. Note: This may split into two tracks (Offensive and Defensive) if we have a high quantity of high-quality CFPs.
- Track three is the human aspect of information security. Featuring talks on different issues in humanity and how infosec professionals can make a difference, this track aims to educate its attendees beyond the technical into the philosophical.
Additional features this year will include a Capture the Flag style competition for our attendees, a Career Fair for people to receive resume and interview advice with breakouts by recruiters, and a new conference chat for our attendees to meet, greet, and network!
