ISSA Central Florida

Event Name: ISSA Central Florida Chapter Address: Orlando, Florida Description: This ISSA chapter is home to chapter members in Orlando and nearby areas. The Central Florida Chapter of Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) is dedicated to promoting Information Systems Security knowledge-sharing, monthly meetings, notice of security events within our area, and links to valuable information and related web sites. If you‘re not an ISSA member and you‘re an Information Security professional, student or in a similar field of work, consider joining to receive great benefits.

Central Florida ISACA

Event Name: Central Florida ISACA Address: 2331 Phillips Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308 Description: Founded in 1983, this chapter hosts 245 members and counting. This website provides information regarding our chapter, including board members, events, etc. and information about ISACA’s national and international events. In the near future, you will find other useful information such as news, FAQs, and helpful links and be able to register for seminars on line. The Central Florida ISACA Chapter consists of information technology, audit and security professionals from all over Central Florida. We meet at least every other month by hosting training seminars on a variety of IT topics.

AITP Central Florida

Event Name: AITP Central Florida Chapter Address: Orlando, Florida Description: This chapter generally meets every third Thursday. Founded in 1951 as NMAA and later known as DPMA, the name Association of Information Technology Professionals, AITP, was adopted in 1996. In individual chapters and as a national association, AITP seeks to advance the IT Profession through professional development, support of IT education, and national policies on IT that improve society as a whole.


Event Name: DC407 Address: FAMiLab, 1355 Bennett Dr., Longwood, Florida Description: While posts in this group’s blogs are slim, it does meet regularly to an extent. They meet at the Cloudspace HQ. DC407 was spawned from the annual Defcon security conference in Las Vegas. The Defcon Groups (DCGs or DC-Groups) are a gathering point for folks interested in the alternate applications of modern technology, referred to properly as ‘hacking’. DCGs are not intended to compete with any other computer groups, such as 2600, but rather to provide yet another gathering place for the discussion of technology and security topics. DCG meetings are open to anyone, regardless of their skill, age, job, gender, etc. DCGs are designed to help you learn new things, meet new people, mentor others in areas you may be strong in, and provide some cohesion within the hacker culture and it’s members.
