OWASP Houston

Cyber Security Event Title: OWASP Houston Local Chapter Address: Houston, Texas Description: Like many OWASP Chapters, this one is free to join and more than welcome to present. Meetings are held every 2nd Wednesday of the month. The OWASP Foundation came online on December 1st 2001 it was established as a not-for-profit charitable organization in the United Texass on April 21, 2004 to ensure the ongoing availability and support for our work at OWASP. OWASP is an international organization and the OWASP Foundation supports OWASP efforts around the world. OWASP is an open community dedicated to enabling organizations to conceive, develop, acquire, operate, and maintain applications that can be trusted. All of the OWASP tools, documents, forums, and chapters are free and open to anyone interested in improving application security.

ISSA-Texas Gulf Coast

Cyber Security Event Title: ISSA-Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Address: Houston, Texas Description: If you’ve been looking for an ISSA Chapter in Houston, this is it. The TXGC Chapter meets near the Johnson Space Center and covers professionals in the Houston Clear Lake and Metro Area. The ISSA is a not-for-profit international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides education forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members.

ISACA Greater Houston

Cyber Security Event Title: ISACA Greater Houston Chapter Address: Houston, Texas Description: Its aim is to sponsor local educational seminars and workshops, conduct regular chapter meetings, and help to further promote and elevate the visibility of the IS audit, control and security profession throughout the area. Chapter meetings are held every third Thursday of the month that typically include a morning or afternoon training along with a luncheon meeting/training.
