The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a global organization that aims to define the standard for cloud security by conducting research, training, and education in the field of cloud computing security. The CSA also sponsors conferences, events, and seminars to enhance its objective.
The annual CSA Summit, a two-day event hosted across the United States and, at times, overseas, is the CSA’s flagship event. Each Summit focuses on a different issue and combines research presentations with panel discussions and sessions given by CSA experts. Previous themes have included “Secure Transformation to the Cloud” and “Governance, Automation, and Security in the Cloud.” The Summits are held in April or May and feature keynote speakers from leading cloud security businesses.
The CSA also hosts the Global Congress Series, a collection of smaller, one-day events aimed at bringing together cloud security specialists from across the world. Speakers from major organizations, presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities are all part of the Congresses. To far, there have been five Global Congresses on cloud security topics such as “The State of Cloud Computing, Security, and Privacy” and “Data Security.””The Rise of Cryptography in Cloud Computing.”
In addition to conferences and events, the CSA provides a series of seminars and webinars to keep cloud security experts up to date on the most recent advancements in the area. The seminars and webinars draw on the knowledge and experience of some of the world’s leading cloud security experts and practitioners. The seminars and webinars offer an in-depth look at themes from the CSA’s extensive curriculum.
The CSA also provides regional user groups that allow members to connect, share experiences, and exchange information. The user groups are organized around various geographical regions and/or industry categories, with the goal of providing an open forum for cloud security learning and growth. The user groups address anything from industry advancements and trends to best practices for implementation. Members of the CSA’s user groups are also entitled to special offers and discounts on CSA-sponsored events.
Finally, the CSA offers training and certification courses to members in order to equip them to meet the world’s expanding cloud security standards. These courses cover the basics of cloud security, such as system architecture, security risk management, policy governance, and data security compliance. Training and certification courses, like seminars and webinars, are continually updated to reflect the most recent developments in cloud security.
The Cloud Security Alliance, as the pioneering organization for cloud security, continues committed to teaching and informing organizations about the most recent breakthroughs in cloud security. The CSA delivers useful information and resources to their members through conferences, events, seminars, webinars, user groups, and training and certification courses, allowing them to keep educated about the ever-changing cloud security landscape.
