The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is the world’s largest professional association for internal auditors, with over 45,000 members from 182 countries. Their objective, since 1941, has been to serve and equip the global internal audit profession with the information, credentials, resources, and networks needed to become their organization’s trusted voice on risk, control, and governance. The IIA’s yearly conferences are one such opportunity. These are the best educational and networking opportunities for the internal audit profession. Attendees at IIA conferences can get hands-on training, on-site certification, and interactive discussions about risk management and control. These conferences, which are typically held in locations such as Singapore, London, and New Orleans, are intended for auditors, internal and external regulators, chief audit executives, board members, audit committee members, and other governance and risk experts.
The IIA will host a variety of conferences in 2021, including the 2021 Global Internal Audit Conference. This will take place in Orlando, Florida, from March 16 to 19, 2021. Attendees will get access to hundreds of lectures covering topics like governance, risk management, control, and audit. The IIA also hosts a Global Audit Leadership Conference, which focuses on the creation and application of practical tools for audit leadership teams to achieve excellence in governance, risk management, and control. The event will be held in Amsterdam from the 21st to the 23rd of April this year, with keynote speakers including Gail A. Goodman, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Customer.io, Dr. Margarita Mayo, professor and Dean of IE Business School, and Maria J. Crummett, associate director of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
The IIA annual Assembly has grown into yet another important event on the Institute’s calendar. This event brings together delegates from all around the world to share their knowledge and experience in defining the profession’s future. Attendees can also participate in interactive workshops, poster presentations, and industry leader roundtables at the Assembly. This year’s meeting will be held in Orlando, Florida, from June 29 to July 3, and will feature speakers such as Clive Stannard, CEO of the International Management Forum, and Dr. Brad Stoddard, worldwide head of Internal Audit for the Dow Chemical Company.
