Cyber First Nairobi 2026
About the Security Event
Cyber First Kenya 2026 is East Africa's premier cybersecurity summit, bringing together C-level executives, technology leaders, and policymakers in Nairobi on 8 July 2026 — the inaugural edition of the series for the region.
Kenya has solidified its position as a digital powerhouse in Africa, but this growth has expanded the national attack surface, leading to a surge in sophisticated threats. Over 4.5 billion cyber threats were detected in just the final quarter of 2025 alone — a 441% year-on-year jump — with KES 29.9 billion lost to cybercrime.
DDoS attacks surged 112% year-on-year, placing Kenya third on the continent, while a 96% talent gap continues to undermine the execution of security measures despite high strategic intent.
The summit addresses these challenges through six practitioner-led tracks covering national critical infrastructure protection, regulatory governance and data privacy under the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, Zero Trust and cloud security, AI-powered threat intelligence, talent development, and cross-border geopolitical intelligence sharing.
The full-day programme features keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, an enterprise case study, and the inaugural Cyber First Awards East Africa — recognizing excellence across six categories including cybersecurity innovation, public sector achievement, and Zero Trust leadership.
