Greece is an advanced technological power with a thriving IT and online security industry. Cybersecurity has been an integral part of the Greek economy for years and is becoming increasingly important as the country continues to develop its digital infrastructure. To keep up with developments in the sector, Greece regularly hosts various cyber events and conferences, highlighting the key trends and topics in the sector.
Organizations such as the Hellenic Association Of Information Systems Security Professionals (HAISSP) are leading the way when it comes to cyber events in Greece, with the yearly conference ‘SpartaCON’ regularly taking place in Athens. The event focuses on topics such as security education and talks given by industry professionals, providing a platform to discuss and analyze the latest trends in IT security and cyber threats in Europe.
Besides the HAISSP, Greece is home to several other events and conferences related to cybersecurity. The ICT Security Event takes place every year and is the largest IT security event in Southeast Europe. It is organized with the assistance of the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance and covers topics related to digital security, privacy, data protection, and more.
Other notable security events in Greece include the National Security Symposium, which focuses on the latest developments in cyber technology and security, and the Athens Security Forum, which brings together stakeholders from different sectors such as the public and private sectors, academia, and NGOs.
In addition to these events, Greek companies and universities organized regular conferences and workshops related to IT security, such as ‘Cyber Security Greece’ in 2019, which focused on topics such as the legal framework of cybersecurity, information governance, and digital forensics.

In an era where data breaches occur daily, cyber adversaries continuously target consumers, corporations, and governments. With the rapid expansion of digital infrastructure and the interconnectedness of networks, the severity and frequency of cyberattacks have escalated significantly. Traditional security measures often struggle to keep up with the growing sophistication of cyber threats, making the need for innovative security strategies more urgent than ever. The International Workshop on Data-Driven Security (DDSW) 2025 is dedicated to advancing cybersecurity through the power of data science. This workshop explores cutting-edge security solutions leveraging machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis to combat modern cyber threats effectively. Unlike conventional approaches that focus solely on technical, business, or compliance aspects, DDSW 2025 emphasizes next-generation security methodologies that harness data-driven insights to protect critical assets. Experts, researchers, and industry professionals will come together to discuss novel techniques and share insights on fortifying cybersecurity in an increasingly data-driven world.

The technological and industrial revolution brought by complex Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) comes with new threats and cyber-attacks that exploit their inherent complexity and heterogeneity. These attacks significantly negatively impact the operation of various services in critical sectors, like energy, transport, and communications, which provide the vital functions that our societies depend upon. Systems under attack should exhibit resilience in the form of graceful degradation and/or operational continuity and fast recovery of core functions to avoid potentially uncontrolled cascading effects. To this end, the emerging field of cyber resilience can be understood as a mixture of strategies, methods, and techniques to support complex CPS adaptive capacity during cyber-attacks. The conference focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of the security, privacy, trust, and resilience of networks, systems, and services as well as novel ways for mitigating sophisticated cyber-attacks.
