About CyberDSA Conference 2026

CyberDSA Conference 2026 is an international cybersecurity event held in Kuala Lumpur from 5 to 7 October 2026. The conference brings together government officials, defence personnel, industry leaders and technology providers to address digital threats and cyber resilience challenges. Organised by Aerosea Exhibitions with support from CyberSecurity Malaysia and the Defence Cyber and Electromagnetic Division (DCED) of the Malaysia Armed Forces, the event combines keynote addresses, panel discussions, forums and an exhibition.

The 2026 theme, “Strengthening Digital Confidence, Information Integrity and Global Cooperation,” frames discussions around securing critical infrastructure, managing AI related risks and building regional cooperation frameworks. The programme includes executive and technical tracks, business matching, networking sessions and special programmes for women in cybersecurity.

Conference Structure and Daily Themes

Day 1 (5 October) focuses on digital trust under the theme “The Future of Digital Trust.” Sessions address protecting systems from rogue AI models and agents, with a forum examining access controls, AI activity monitoring, output review and emergency measures for isolating unsafe AI behaviour. The opening ceremony features Malaysia’s Minister of Digital, Gobind Singh Deo.

Day 2 (6 October) centres on defence and strategic competition with the theme “Defending Digital Battlespace: Cyber Defence, AI Powered Security and Strategic Competition in the Digital Era.” The Siber Siaga forum, opened by Malaysia’s Minister of Defence, examines hyperwar concepts including human judgement, machine speed and decision superiority. Additional sessions cover intelligence driven cybersecurity defences, insider threat defence using behavioural analytics and information integrity in an era of misinformation.

Day 3 (7 October) addresses critical infrastructure protection under “Protecting National Critical Infrastructure: Securing Essential Services and National Critical Information Infrastructure.” Forums examine financial sector cyber resilience, energy security, smart city resilience and water security. A women exclusive session explores perspectives on risk recognition and decision making in cybersecurity.

Key Topics and Technical Focus Areas

The conference programme addresses the dual nature of AI as both a security enabler and threat vector. Sessions examine rogue AI models, AI powered security operations and the AI arms race in cyber defence. Quantum safe security and post quantum threats feature in discussions about cryptographic agility and migration strategies.

Critical infrastructure protection spans multiple sectors: financial services (operational resilience, governance, incident response, third party risk), energy (grid resilience, LNG security, regional power connectivity), smart cities (predictive technologies, infrastructure standards, supply chain disruptions) and water systems (climate adaptation, desalination, the water food energy nexus).

Defence and security sessions address hybrid warfare, digital conflict, cyber command capabilities and the intersection of geopolitics with military strategy. The Siber Siaga component, run by the Defence Cyber and Electromagnetic Division, provides a dedicated military and defence cyber track.

Notable Speakers

Government speakers include Gobind Singh Deo (Minister of Digital Malaysia), Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin (Minister of Defence Malaysia), General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Haji Malek Razak bin Sulaiman (Chief of Defence Force) and H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti (Head of Cybersecurity for UAE Government). Orhan Osmani, Head of the Cybersecurity Division at the International Telecommunication Union, represents international regulatory perspectives.

Regional defence representation includes Brigadier General Joey Fontiveros (Commander, Armed Forces Philippines Cyber Command) and Captain (N) Bagus Jatmiko (Head Wargaming Centre, Indonesian Navy Staff and Command School). Industry speakers come from Google, Exabeam, Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, BlackBerry and other technology providers.

Who Should Attend

The conference targets senior government officials responsible for digital policy, defence and national cybersecurity. CISOs, CTOs and CIOs from both public and private sectors will find relevant content on threat intelligence, security operations and regulatory readiness. Defence and military personnel can engage with the Siber Siaga programme on cyber command and digital conflict.

Financial sector executives, energy and utilities leaders and smart city planners will benefit from sector specific forums on operational resilience. Policy makers, regulators and academics focused on AI governance, data protection and regional cyber frameworks are also part of the intended audience. Technology vendors and solution providers participate through the exhibition and business matching programme.
