About the Event

IEEE WF-IoT 2026 is the 12th edition of the IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things, an annual gathering that serves as a platform for knowledge exchange across the global IoT community. Hosted by Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, the four-day forum focuses on connected and resilient ecosystems, examining how IoT technologies integrate across sectors including electronics, communications, power and energy, industrial automation, and healthcare.

Program Format

The event is primarily in-person, with a program comprising keynote presentations, technical paper sessions, special sessions, workshops, tutorials, panel discussions, and poster and demonstration showcases. Authors who cannot attend due to government or institutional travel restrictions may apply to present virtually, with pre-recorded video presentations serving as backup for live remote sessions.

IEEE Society Involvement

The forum receives financial sponsorship from eleven IEEE societies and councils: IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation, IEEE Circuits and System Society, IEEE Reliability Society, IEEE Control Systems Society, IEEE Electron Devices Society, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society, IEEE Power and Energy Society, IEEE Power Electronics Society, and IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society. Scifiniti serves as a silver patron. Local organization is supported by Khalifa University and the IEEE EMBS Student Chapter.

Who Should Attend

The forum targets IoT researchers, engineers, developers, R&D managers, product developers, technology strategists, academic faculty, graduate students, and policymakers. Representatives from technology companies, utilities, and public sector organizations working on IoT standardization, deployment, and cross-sector collaboration will find relevant technical content and networking opportunities.
