About the Event
The Digital Forensics Conference 2026 takes place on 4 and 5 November at Sava Centar in Belgrade. The in-person event brings together professionals from law enforcement, financial services, and critical infrastructure sectors to address the evolving challenges of digital crime investigations. Previous editions have attracted over 2,000 participants from more than 50 countries.
The programme spans keynotes, presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops. Day one features the main track with sessions on threat intelligence, ransomware investigations, and the intersection of security operations centres and open-source intelligence. Day two includes a specialized forum on blockchain analytics and cryptocurrency enforcement, followed by afternoon workshops.
Key Topics
Sessions address blockchain forensics and cryptocurrency tracing, with presentations on drainer investigations combining blockchain analytics with smart contract analysis. The programme covers ransomware response, dark web intelligence, and the practical application of OSINT tools in criminal investigations. Panels examine the enforcement chain from policy through intelligence to prosecution in cryptocurrency cases.
OpenAI representatives will discuss agentic investigators and human judgment in threat investigations. Additional sessions explore virtual asset crimes, cross-border investigation challenges, and the operational hurdles law enforcement agencies face when tracing criminal proceeds internationally.
