About Black Alpaca
Black Alpaca is Peru’s principal cybersecurity conference, now in its third edition under the theme “Hack the Andes.” The event is organized by CiberSecUNI, the student-led information security community at Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima. Despite being a relatively young conference, previous editions have attracted over 500 attendees and more than 18 speakers, establishing it as a significant gathering for Peru’s security community.
Technical Programme
The main stage programme covers offensive security topics including advanced red team operations in cloud environments, hacking ICS/SCADA industrial control systems, and generative AI security. Additional speakers are to be confirmed.
Paid training workshops offer intensive instruction for individuals and corporate teams. Courses include Advanced AWS Detection and Response (24 hours), DevSecOps for AI (24 hours), and Technically Calibrated CISO (8 hours), the latter aimed at security leadership.
Villages and Competition
Interactive village zones provide hands-on experience, including a Capture The Flag competition and a Hardware Hacking Village. The conference day runs approximately 09:00 to 17:30, concluding with the CTF awards ceremony.
Who Should Attend
Black Alpaca targets hackers, security researchers, professionals, and enthusiasts across Latin America. The combination of technical talks, professional training, and competitive hacking serves both those entering the field and experienced practitioners seeking to develop cloud security, industrial control system, and AI security skills.
