About the Event
VSLive! & AILive! @ Microsoft HQ 2027 brings together two established developer conferences for a week of technical education on Microsoft’s Redmond campus. Visual Studio Live!, which has run for more than three decades, focuses on Microsoft development technologies, while Artificial Intelligence Live! addresses AI-driven software engineering. The co-located format allows attendees to move between both events and build a customized agenda spanning traditional software development and emerging AI capabilities.
The conference runs from Monday through Friday, with pre-conference hands-on labs on August 2, three days of breakout sessions and keynotes from August 3-5, and post-conference workshops on August 6. Networking activities include a Mix & Mingle event, Welcome Reception, Table Topic Lunch, and a Wednesday Night Experience.
Technical Tracks
The VSLive! tracks cover modern software engineering, cloud and DevOps engineering, AI-native software engineering, data engineering and intelligent analytics, .NET, C#, and Visual Studio ecosystem, modern web development, and cross-platform app development. Additional tracks address emerging architectures and developer experience topics.
AILive! sessions focus on AI agents and AI engineering, GitHub Copilot and developer workflows, agents, bots, and copilots, grounding and context, AI application patterns, and models and evaluation. These tracks address practical implementation of AI capabilities within software development workflows.
Who Should Attend
The event targets software developers, engineers, and architects working with Microsoft technologies, along with DevOps professionals, data engineers, and AI practitioners. IT managers and technical leads seeking to modernize legacy applications, adopt cloud-native architectures, or integrate AI tools into development workflows will find relevant content.
