Cybersecurity Conferences and Events in UK

In this post, we take a look at Cybersecurity Conferences taking place in the United Kingdom, specifically throughout 2018.

All events and conferences that are listed on this page are in descending order (so the most recent) at the top. After the United States, the UK is the second most popular country for InfoSec Events. There are dozens of Cyber events in literally every niche you can think of.

Is It Just A London Thing?

Nope – whilst it is true that most Cybersecurity Conferences in the UK are held in London we’ve noticed that there are plenty of other events in Manchester, Birmingham and other prominent cities. If you don’t find an event on our UK Resource Page (which you are currently on) then we’d suggest you visit our homepage and use the search function for ‘city’ or ‘niche-specific’ events.

There’s no doubt that the UK is a major epicenter of Global Cybersecurity. We’d happily argue that¬†Washington DC (Maryland) along with London and Israel are the three major drivers of Cybersecurity Resilience.¬† The National Cyber Security Centre and its’ more highbrow GCHQ rule the waves with InfoSec Progression and Protection in the UK and for that, we are all thankful!

The History of Cybersecurity in the UK

It all comes down to education.

For the last 150 years, the UK has had a very established education system and that’s facilitated every discipline to flourish. From technology such as APEXC and Alan Turing’s famous pioneering work (which sped up the end of the second world war), the UK has been at the forefront of IT but in particular¬†Cybersecurity.

How Do We Select These Events?

It’s actually very simple. We just take a look at the quality of speakers, the longevity of the event, the subject matter and a few other variables.

When an event is added by a conference organizer we make a decision as to whether it should be awarded a ‘recommended status’. If it is, then it is automatically included within this post. You can learn more about our process here and about our company here.
