Nigeria is one of the leading countries in Africa with an increasing appetite for cyber security and information security. With an evergrowing population and increased digitalization, there have been several strides taken on the part of the government to develop and implement effective measures and solutions in this important sector.

Cybersecurity Conferences in Nigeria are becoming increasingly popular with several organizations, entities, and companies participating and contributing to the cause. The first Africa Cyber Security Conference was held in 2018 and provided valuable insight into the hottest topics and latest trends in Nigerian IT security. Since then, several companies have sponsored cybersecurity conferences in the country such as IBM, Microsoft, and PwC.

Cyber Events in Nigeria are held yearly and operate under the guidance of the Nigeria Computer Society. Local universities also host cybersecurity workshops such as the Cyber Security Academy of Nigeria. Many of these events provide valuable training opportunities for IT professionals and are attended by international companies interested in learning more about the challenges faced in Nigeria's cyber security landscape.

In terms of general cybersecurity in Nigeria, the government is taking significant steps to enhance the security of the nation's digital infrastructure. The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has issued guidelines on the implementation of cyber security best practices, including those related to the management of data, authentication and encryption protocols, and fraud prevention.

Nigeria also boasts a growing cybersecurity sector. Companies such as Koddi, Wolfpack Security, and Securitas are actively engaged in providing IT security solutions to organizations and companies in the country.
