The CyberDrill aims to advance cybersecurity readiness and foster collaboration among stakeholders across the Americas.

Event Objectives and Focus

The primary goal of the CyberDrill is to enhance technical capabilities in cybersecurity throughout the region. The event is designed to improve communication processes, strengthen the management and response to cybersecurity incidents, and reinforce both national and international coordination among Computer Incident Response Teams (CIRT/CERT).

Participants will gain practical experience through simulation scenarios that reflect real-world cyber threats. The event also emphasizes the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing among cybersecurity professionals and organizations.

Target Audience

The CyberDrill is intended for technical and management-level officials from national CIRT/CERT/SOCs, cybersecurity agencies, ministries, regulators, academia, and other stakeholders. Attendees include representatives from ITU Member States, sector members, NGOs, and special guests from countries across the Americas, such as Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the United States, and many others.

This diverse audience ensures a broad exchange of expertise and perspectives, contributing to the overall strengthening of cybersecurity frameworks in the region.

Programme Highlights

The five-day event features a comprehensive programme that includes technical sessions, discussion panels, capacity-building workshops, and hands-on simulation exercises. These activities are designed to address the most common types of cyberattacks and provide participants with actionable strategies for incident response.

Specialized technical training sessions and simulation scenarios are available, though capacity is limited. Early registration is strongly recommended for those interested in participating in these focused activities.
