Kansas is becoming more and more active in cyber security and is making changes to better protect its citizens and their data from the threats of cybercrime. Cybersecurity awareness and education are a key focus for the state with recent efforts to bring attention to the danger of cyber-attacks.

Cybersecurity conferences in Kansas are held throughout the year.

These events bring together security researchers, government officials, and experts in a variety of cybersecurity areas to discuss the latest trends and developments in the field.

The Kansas Cyber Security Conference, held in Wichita, is the largest event in the state and is attended by major companies and agencies such as Bank of America and the Kansas Department of Occupational and Professional Regulation.

Kansas also offers a range of cyber security resources to both citizens and businesses.

For instance, the Kansas State Department of Commerce provides resources for businesses to protect their data and increase security in their organizations. Furthermore, the State of Kansas's Office of Homeland Security provides free cybersecurity courses for citizens to learn more about the best practices for cybersecurity.
